Fleur Outfits 1229

Mix-Mode

Fleur outfit 1229 is a set of mix-and-match outfits called Mix-Mode. Each pack has two items, creating a capsule wardrobe of four tops and four bottoms. This set was sold around 1982.

From this seemingly small collection you can create THIRTY TWO lovely outfits! You can see all the Mix-Mode outfit combinations here on my Fleur blog.

Accessories: one bag, one necklace, differ per pack

Shoes: one pair of high heels, one pair of running shoes

At least three shirt variations exist for outfit 1229 - see all three modelled by Fleurs in the bottom row. Accessories and shoes also differ per set - see some of the necklaces in the bottom row as well.

Mix-Mode made its first appearance in the 1982 Fleur booklet, so we know it's an early 80s set. It was probably popular and sold in large quantities, because all pieces are still easy to find today. The clothes are of very good quality, so it's no surprise they lasted so well.

You'll notice the green Fleur logo stickers on the shirts and pants - they are just paper stickers, so they would not survive even one laundry.
