Fleur Furniture
New Look
In 1987 or 1988, Fleur got a whole new suite of furniture, as part of re-design outsourced to England (you can read more about it on Fleur's history page). The look is quite unique and very 1980s, but the pink definitely has Barbie vibes. It was practically a full house, but without a kitchen or any sort of table. Each piece features light pink and hot pink sections, and overall everything is very well made, heavy and strong. Unfortunately, with the passage of time - and even with proper storage - the light pink parts of this furniture tend to turn a different shade of pink, or even yellow.
The image above shows the promo photo and text printed on the back of each item box - a full list of all the items, plus the usual legal disclaimer. Interestingly, it also says 'Made in Spain', so we know this furniture was produced locally in Europe.
The genius of this suite is in its modular design - all shelves are removable, and all pieces can be joined together into new configurations, thanks to the grooves on the side of each piece.
None of the New Look furniture boxes have a catalogue number printed on them, but luckily here's a photo of an actual toy catalogue from 1987-1988, showing the familiar promo photo with each item number listed below. Take a look at the top right of the photo - number 385 - 9510 is most likely for the full collection (so merchants could order the whole set at once, instead of nine individual pieces separately).

2352 Bed Sit Set COMING SOON
2353 Studio Set
Fleur's New Look Studio Set is a combination of the Book Case, and an additional piece which can be attached on either side of the bookcase. Everything you see in the photo is inside the box, except the doll and outfit (if you are curious, Fleur is wearing outfit 1200 F from Range 1 Casuals. This set is large, sturdy and well made.

Here's a close-up of the framed photos from the Studio Set. The same photos were also included with the Book Case below. Interestingly, the photos are not the same as the box photos. The largest frame - with Brides Happiness Fleur - has two small photos of a man and woman. Could these be... Fleur's parents? It makes sense to include them in the wedding photo, right? LOL

The realistic book spines are actually two flat pieces of cardboard, folded into a square. They look really good on the shelf, despite the fact the scribbles are complete nonsense.

And here are the records, which are VERY impressive. They are made of thin cardboard, and printed on both sides, just like real record sleeves - front with 'band' artwork, back with track listings. Here, you can see a random selection of fronts and backs. You could have some real good fun trying to figure out which real records inspired these. There are 16 records in total.

2354 Bath
Unfortunately I do not have the bath box, but this is the complete set with accessories: bath mat, cup, and the cutest round container with a blue duckie motif - you'll see the duckie again on the Dressing Table accessories below.

2355 Wardrobe
Fleur's New Look Wardrobe is as tall as she is, and very sturdy. Unfortunately, not many clothes fit inside on that very short peg, The shelves from the Studio Set or Book Case fit inside this wardrobe, so it can be easily converted into a shelf unit. Fleur in the box photo is wearing the top from outfit 1281 and mystery pants.

2356 Book Case
If this Book Case looks familiar, it's because you've already seen it above as part of the Studio Set. The Book Case comes with all the same accessories (photos, books, records). Fleur in the box photo is wearing outfit 1200 D from Range 1 Casuals.

2357 Basic Furniture
Here we have the strangely named Basic Furniture (they could have called it 'vanity' for example?). It is a simple unit with one shelf, a removable mirror, and a set of blue beauty accessories. Fleur doll in the box photo is wearing outfit 1200 D from Range 1 Casuals.

2358 Wash Basin
The low Wash Basin matches the rest of the set, and comes with a floor mat, which could possibly be a towel too. Fleur in the box photo is wearing a mystery outfit.

2359 Dressing Table
This beautiful dressing table is approximately the same size and height as the Wash Basin above. It comes with cute accessories - blue comb, and round brush with the same duckie motif as the Bath box. It's nice that the mirror is real with a very good reflection - that's not always the case with doll furniture. Fleur in the box photo is wearing an unknown dress (possibly the same dress as worn by the unreleased Grand Gala Fleur doll from around 1987, but that's just a guess).

2360 WC
No self-respecting house goes without a toilet, so here it is - the pretty pink WC with a movable cover and a dark pink floor mat. This item is quite bulky, but it fits perfectly with the rest of the furniture.
